Another Sunday for me where I got no plans but to sleep late late.... But it all changed when I decided to go online at 10am before I lie down again... Well... this Shi Mei msn me the first millisecond I got online...


Just like this... decided to go Food Fest and Orchard at the same day liao...

Enter nia... see so many ppl inside the hall already... wah lao eh... wat kind of food fair is this? Can see so many aunty and uncle coming here and "shop" for food.... I just came here for free samples... lol....

Places with free food especially are full with ppl.... see how the few plates are empty and ppl all are holding the toothpick and waiting for the nice "sample" to be refilled?? Haha.. the not so nice one... free also nobody wanna eat.... Everyone is holding the toothpick in a ready position there~!

No sample at ur booth?? Sorry lar... everyone is here for the free food.... see how quiet is it for a booth that is not selling food but hardware....

Haha... see how all the ppl queue up just for a cup of nescafe?? This is so stupid... there are better Ipoh white coffee inside lar... Just because nescafe is the first booth ppl see at the entrance... ppl are just blindly queuing for the nescafe.... really siao huh?

Myself.. I walked one round and my stomach is full d.... There were also other exhibition going on that day.... got interior design... Guardian also took up 1 hall to sell their things cheap...

After 2 hours like that... eat till full and sien liao.... we then make our way to Orchard Road... I'll do that in part 2.

P/S: For those who think "why the hell would you go to FOOD FEST while you are going for DIET~!?!?"

Well, reason is simple... this was 2 weeks ago la.... haha... 2 weeks ago I wasn't so determined yet~! Will update on my weight soon too... today is the deadline....

WAH LAO EH!!

HOW THE HELL I BECAME SO FAT!!! To be honest... this is not the ugliest photo I can find in my archive... I am too embarrass to show the uglier once.... this is as bad as u can get for now.... ToT.... seriously... how to pick on chicks like that?? I dun think I would even qualify for DPA (Dodo Protection Agency for those who know and those who dunno also nvm) .... hehe

Now I am 80kg.... its 13kg heavier than last year.... okay... now its not the time to blame on wat did I do to make myself so fat.... I need to be motivated and determined to slim down!!

I have to set myself a target!! Make myself at least 75kg b4 next thursday on the 29th of November 2007!! It's a achievable target!! I must do it!! Must show the world that I am not a fat ass!! ToT....

Okay, time to go home and exercise!! Jogging and swimming and take in less carb is still the surest way to slim down.

Must try my best!! Do all I can to make myself to be like this once again!!

Cute Animals (O.O)

It was a fine day for Deepavali. Its a public holiday and I haven't have any good rest for a while already. Was planning for a good sleep on that day but the day b4, my colleague asked me to help him move house. Well... nothing to do mah... somemore I also wanted to get some new furniture... was thinking... why not.. might get some new furniture there... hehe...

So I went to his house in Jurong and started helping along with some of our bangela workers who doesn't celebrate Deepavali. His plan today is actually move some stuffs to keep inside company store and some furniture to his bro's house as he planned to give those furniture to his bro (a real bro, not penis bro).

We went unloading the stuffs at office first, then we head to his bro's house at Aljunied. First time for me driving to Aljunied. About 30 minutes drive... Was quite a lot of stuff though.... but better than sitting at home doin nothing... hehe

After all the hard work moving the things upstairs.... to my very surprise.... my colleague bro's house is like a pet shop!! wah lao eh... got so many animals he got there!! Birds, dogs, fish, rabbits.... and when I tot since is just movin house... i didn't bring my digital camera along!!! Wat a waste... I have to use my phone to take these photos... aih... but still not bad lar...

The love birds are really cute... their chirp is really nice to hear... first time for me to see a love bird up close....

Here comes the parrot!! The parrot actually learned how to say ni hao! “你好” and hello!! Smart bird! I also heard 1 bird cost about SGD$900.00 too.... expensive hobby.... This is not my first time seeing a parrot up closed though... I had 3 parrots stand on me while I was in Australia 10 years ago... 2 green standing on my left and right hand and 1 red one standing on my head... Dun have the photo here with me... miss those times....

3rd one here... Got it standing on my hand... well... at least is not as painful compare to wild parrots.... My colleague's bro trim the claws... It was actually painful while the 3 parrots was standing on me....

There is this 4 feet fish tank with more than a dozen of seawater fish!! I dunno wat fish are they at all.... I got absolutely no idea about fish except for Fa Lohan fish or "花罗汉" and Arowana fish...

Clown fish~~!!! Another fish I discovered that I know of!! hehe... cute Nemo!! They are quite shy actually... they will hide whenever I go near... Well fish are generally shy... but not lohan... those are furious crazy bastards....~.~"

This is one hairy rabbit here.... such a cute animal....

Another type of hairy rabbit... this one got black colour ears.... I only post up 2 of the rabbits which have white furs.... There are 2 more types there actually... A gray type and a brownish type... those I find them not so cute... hehe.. I like white rabbits more...

This a the balcony view of the place my colleague's bro stay... so nice... There is actually a tennis court down there... free for anyone to use... where can we find such a nice court free for use in malaysia.... wait long long lar.... Not only the court is nice... the trees around... the path way... all so looks so new!!

A very interesting day indeed for me... although I didn't get any furnitures... I get to see many cute and interesting animals!! Really worth it!!

Zainuddin Maidin who?

I bet 90% of Malaysian would not know who the hell is Zainuddin Maidin... not until last weekend... When many of us in Malaysia also may or may not know about the incident BERSIH rally happened in Kuala Lumpur last weekend.
Let me give an intro about this dude. First of all, he is our Information Minister, yes the Malaysian Information Minister. He is the Menteri Parliment(MP) of Merbok, Kedah. Why would I want to blog about this dude u might ask? See the following video and you'll know...



If you dun understand what the hell he is saying... dun worry, I dun understand either. I am not sure if he is speaking english, manglish, singlish... etc... to actually know wat he is talking about in words, please head to kennysia.com for more details. Boys and gals, ladies and gentlemen... This is the sort of Information Minister we have in Malaysia. With this Al-Jazzera news broadcasting all over the world, first of all, Malaysia will be well known! Well known for people with such high post like Information Minister unable to speak good english. Not only he doesn't speak well, we openly criticize the Al Jazeera with no wat so ever logical reason.

I better leave it to urself to judge on this matter, and also how did it reflect the political situation in Malaysia.

My oppinion on this matter... we should at least have a Information Minister who can communicate in English. Not someone who pronounced "election" as ERECTION~! (Not to mention he only has 1 erection every 5 years.... never fail...)

Sony Ericsson W910i

Okay, I bought a new gadget here. The brand new Sony Ericsson Walkman Phone W910i. Before talking about the new phone, I would like to let u all know that this is my 3rd Sony Ericsson phone. My previous phones are W800i then W810i and now W910i. More history, I used Alcatel b4, I also used Nokia b4 I switched to my current brand.. Sony Ericsson. When I started using W800i, I really loved that phone. At that time, I felt that the phone is fast compared to other coloured phone unlike nokia. Fast in terms of responding to my button pressing speed. On top of that... my W800i never... yes never hang even until the day it got lost! And yes... it got lost bcoz of my carelessness... lost it during last Chinese New Year eve...

Then I replaced with W810i... its W800i with a face lift. Almost everything is the same except that this one has a shortcut button that lets u put watever things u use often easy to access. For example to turn on the bluetooth, u dun need to go menu ---> tools ----> connectivity to get your bluetooth turn on... all u need to to preset bluetooh into the shortcut menu. This feature has been inherited into W910i.

One thing bad about W810i is that the camera doesn't have a cover like W800i have. My lenses got scratches all over bcoz there isn't any cover there for the camera.... Thats the only bad thing about W810i compare to W800i.

I got this W810i 1 month after CNY. I got fed up using that Motorola W220... That phone really sucks!! I won't go into detail how suck W220 of Motorola is coz this title ain't about how suck W220 is...

Move on to the new phone. I wasn't planning on getting a new phone earlier on actually. My plan was to get a 3G broadbane connection with the USB modem so that I can online whenever I wan and wherever I want. The broadband on Mobile service provider is by Singtel. It is about SG$23 per month inclusive GST. The plan itself will give me a downstream of 512kbps and total usage of 10GB per month. Not going to use it to download torrent... so 10GB is pretty sufficient.

HSDPA or High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (not High Speed Dodo Protection Agency) is the new protocol for 3G communication. Its based on the UMTS protocol but has higher data transfer speed and capacity. Advertisement advertise them as 3.5G phone. Drawback for this phone? Dun have wifi or GPS system like Nokia N95. Other than that... its slimer, lighter, prettier and more stylish than a Nokia N95 in my opinion.

Basically, W910i has all the features from W810i. The walkman feature is the same. Just that it doesn't have the push to play button like W800i an W810i. So... have to push at least 2 buttons to start playing my mp3s... There is a new cool feature that W910i has called TrackID. Basically, when we are listening to the fm radio and who dunno wat the hell is the title of the song, we can use this feature to know wtf we are listening to!! Good huh? Can go internet and download the song after we know the song title mah... haha... good leh?

To really see how fast my Broadband on Mobile, I went to do a bandwidth test. Turn out the speed is pretty decent. It has a downstream of approximate 512kbps and the upstream seems to be able to reach 384kbps! Not bad at all for a mobile broadband I must say! I still remember the days when I had 384kbps Downstream and 128kbps upstream for Streamyx... which still so much worst then my current broadband on mobile.

With only less than 12months left in my contract. I was able to upgrade my phone with a promotion price which is SG$ 398 + 100. With promotion available for broadband on mobile, there is a SG$ 100 discounts for all 3G / 3.5G handsets. So I paid total of SG$ 398.00 inclusive of GST. On top of that, I get a 2GB Memory Stick M2 and also 2 tickets for 王力宏 Leehom concert!! But like I mention in my previous entry here, the day b4 concert... I need to be in PENANG!! I am still thinking here wat to do with my tickets....

Dammit!! Why 2nd Dec of all date!! #$*#&$

Since the phone is so new and all... I bought it a plastic cover to prevent it from getting scratches. Paid SG$9.00 for the screen protector and plastic cover for the phone.

Aww... some like W810i, it doesn't have a cover for the camera lens....

I will give it a 4 out of 5 for this phone. Why? Coz it give me a headache on whether going to Leehom concert or not lar!! haha... and also the camera lens doesn't have a lens cover lor...
Other than that..... this phone is perfect!!!

Today at Kennysia's cb, myst3 keep on mentioning the song "na si wa wu jit pak ban" = 若是我又一百万 = if I have 1 million dollars song... it made everyone wanna go
"jit pun jiak sushi"= 日本吃寿司 = eat sushi in japan
haha...

Then I was working late today and my boss was late too. Before leaving, he asked to go eat dinner together... then, he decided go eat Japanese food... wahaha.... no need go "jit pun"(japan) also can eat sushi for today liao... LOL

Beef Soba

Normally I would take Unagi Don, but I chose Beef soba instead coz I dun wan to eat so full. I was right, the portion of Beed Soba is just nice for me. I never really had much Soba in the past, I felt the mee is quite firm. The soup is nice but I felt it wasn't hot enough.

As for the sushi, I felt its worth it as it got a lot of filling inside. Check out the photo I took for the last piece.. hehe...

hehe... I remember the price of Beef Soba, SGD10 and Tempura Temaki was SGD12. Forgoten how much is the Temaki Sushi d....

Shanghai Trip Part 3

This shall be my last post on Shanghai. Got nothing much more to tell since I spend most of my time in conference anyway.... listening how great the product is... how great the potential in India (which I think its crap).... new features of old products... new solutions... new product line coming next year... all sorts of these which can easily be obtained from internet... d'oh!

To me, the benefit I got from this conference is getting to know people around the world. People
who are experts in electrical field for utility power, UPS system provider, switchboard and so on.

When I reach Shanghai, I see a lot of on going building projects around. Right beside my hotel, there is already a construction site... Everywhere in Shanghai is developing~! Basically, the growth in Shanghai is so tremendous that I felt it has already overtaken Kuala Lumpur. Shanghai really made Kuala Lumpur look like a standstill city without development.

Breakfast is provided every morning by the hotel. Its western breakfast where they provide bake beans, scramble eggs, bacons, ham, sausages, salad, milk, toast, bread, bun..... etc
The lobby lounge is quite nice. Directly on top, we can see our hotel building as show in photo below.

Like I already mentioned, I spend most of my time in the conference. Listening to talks after talks.... having coffee non stop to prevent myself from falling asleep in the talk.

The lighting is so dim in the conference room. Its really making me fall asleep fast. Although I know they need to dim down the light bcoz of the Projector, but why make the whole room so dark lar... so sleepy throughout the talks...

After the day was over, a 10 course dinner was provided. Had Shark Fin, some fish, some beef, some chicken, some salmon, some desert....

After dinner we went up to the revolving restaurant at the 46th floor of the building for some drinks. A bottle of wine was about 900RMB... I've forgoten wat wine was it... but it was a kind of grape that was really hard to grow....

I googled it and now I remember wat was grape used in the vintage wine we had... it was Pinot Noir... The wine was really smooth... personally, I am not an wine drinking expert... but this wine is sure easy to swallow for me... haha... there were 6 person, and each person took a glass and there it goes... 1 bottle of Pinot Noir habis....

After finishing the wine, we had a bottle of Guinness Stout. This is the very first time I am drinking stout believe it or not. I find it stout is taste better than beer actually. Although I still find drinking alcohol a lot is bad for health....

The next nite, we went to Xin Tian Di 新天地 for drinking. Dun wan to talk about to sleepy talks already... talk about Xin Tian Di straight away. Surprisingly, this place got many many ang moh here! Then I found out that this place is really famous among the ang mohs coz they have a lot of pubs here with Filipino Bands. The atmosphere is nice and the music is not too loud. Well, the group I am together with aren't exactly young like me... they prefer a not so noisy place thats why... -.-" We had few rounds of beer in a bar selling German Beer. I had a Wheat Beer and a Dark Beer.... watever it means... beer... I dun like.... my tummy just grew bigger...

Cheers!! Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Malaysian gather for beer...

Then got one nite at KTV... nothing much to talk about that... I din take any photos there either... Just had 3 bottles of Chivas Regal thats all... nothing special... except that the girls there speak Japanese insanely well... but wtf... good for our Japanese friend... same for me wat... I speak Chinese to them....

After 3 nights.... it time to go home... go back to where I work of course...

November... Already?!?!

Time sure flies... Its already November!! One more month and it will be my birthday liao... jia lat lar... how come time pass so fast.

23 years come so fast... the innocent will never last... wake me up, when my youth has end....
Getting crazy sometimes... Health will be an issue soon for me... Why? Drink beer and whiskey like no tomorrow almost everyday. I wonder why ppl enjoy drinking? I still dun understand u know... like I dun understand why ppl smoke... does it relieve you from pressure? I dun think so... its just an excuse really... How can you spend RM8.20 for each packet of cigarette and relief from stress and pressure?? would it add more stress and pressure coz u have extra expenses for this "extra" daily needs?? My dad used to smoke in the past. He is 1 crazy heavy smoker for sure. He used to take 1 and a half packet per day!! Its practically breathing tar and nicotine almost twice every hour. Thank god he stopped smoking now.

Although I dun smoke, the places I go are normally filled with smoke. Worse than smoking, I am a 2nd hand smoker! Still dun understand why ppl smoke... If its to overcome pressure and stress, there must be some other ways available to do the job! Say Tak Nak to smoking. Aih... enough of the health talk.

Again, November liaooo~! Lets see, I am planning to go back Penang on November 30th... have to apply leave soon... plan to go back for 1 week.... celebrate my birthday back in my hometown, yay! Actually celebrating my birthday is not the soul purpose. There is actually going to be a big gathering for all my secondary schoolmates at Gurney Hotel on 1st of December.
